BeastBoy/Neo Batman V Raven Civil War EP 6

At Titans Tower, Batman, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg and Raven were in the lab with the robot clone. The piece of Neo Batman's clone and the Robin clone were placed on the scanner and the comparisons were uncanny. Both the piece and the clone were linked to brother blood. But what was confusing to them, was how did brother blood manage to use his design to create clones from HARDAC? Another thing that threw the titans and Batman off was that who else could be involved? After the tests were done, the Titans except Raven then went to their rooms to prepare for their next move while Batman tried to get a hold off Neo Batman. As Batman was trying to contact him, Raven was following from behind. Raven then appeared from her hiding place and saw that Batman vanished. She looked around until Batman was right in front of her. He had his arms folded and scowled his eyes into his own bat-glare.

"You're letting your anger cloud your judgement. This Civil War you mentioned to me is getting to you. You're becoming a liability to your team," Batman began. "Your friends are worried about you. Robin took off his mask in front you, but you're still willing to destroy Neo Batman? But that's not the real reason the Civil War is supposed to happen." Raven then lowered her eyes at the harsh comments. Batman soon calmed down, and put his hands on her shoulder. "Fathers are kind, Fathers protect you. Fathers raise you," Batman said to Raven. Raven's eyes widened at the phrase she said against Trigon. "When my parents were killed, Alfred was like a father to me. He was all I had left. I tried the same thing with Robin, but hey I'm not perfect. Now to protect you, you're staying in the tower until Neo Batman's name is cleared, that's final." 

Raven sighed, "Fine but this doesn't change anything. I am going to see this Civil War through." Before Batman could respond, he got an alert on his own PDA. A distress signal was sent out to Batman; Neo Batman was somewhere in a neighborhood that was located in the mountains.

"We'll talk later." Batman said sternly as he exited the main lobby. He told Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire to move out to the location. Raven still had her communicator on her but after the others left, she flew from the tower to the city ignoring Batman's warning. 

Batman and Robin flew in the Batwing to the location where the signal was being broadcast, with Starfire and Cyborg following them in the T-ship.
"Why would Beast Boy be in a house in the mountains?" Robin asked as the batwing landed near a walkway to the neighborhood.

"I don't know but we are going to find out," Batman assured him. Robin, Cyborg, Batman and Starfire soon walked to the neighborhood, to the house where Neo Batman supposedly was. But they came across something sinister as they approached the doorway. Robin slowly opened the door and turned on the lights. They saw that the first floor was a mess, with a broken flower vase, and some toppled furniture. The other heroes entered the house and were shocked at the sight.

"What happened here? Wait a minute...is that Terra?" Cyborg said as he noticed a damaged picture frame. "This is her house, but why would Beast Boy come here?"

Batman then went upstairs to see what else he could find. Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire soon followed. They went to check out other rooms on the second floor. Batman was in the guest room but there was no sign of Beast Boy or his Neo Batman equipment. He then noticed Neo Batman's PDA on the desk next to the bed. When he picked it up, he saw that an emergency beacon was activated on it four hours ago. "This must've been a way for him to divert us away from him," Batman assumed.

Then he heard a loud scream from the master bedroom. Cyborg, Robin and Batman then entered the bedroom and saw a woman who was face down on her bed. Starfire was trembling with her hands over her mouth at the sight. Batman then turned her over and saw that her eyes were bigger and had a menacing grin across her face.

"I know that grin." Batman gritted his teeth. "This must be, or was her mom." Batman added.

Cyborg shook his head, "Oh Man."

"Who would do such a horrible thing?" Starfire asked in horror.

Batman and Robin looked at each other and feared the same thing. "The Joker," Batman and Robin said at the same time.

Cyborg and Starfire trembled slowly at the the sound of his name.

Four hours earlier,
Beast Boy was on his feet and was suiting up in his Neo Batman costume when Tara entered the room with a plate full of cookies and a glass of almond milk. She was wearing a long sleeved t-shirt and short shorts. "You're leaving?" Tara noticed as Beast Boy was suiting up. She then laid the cookies and milk on the desk next to the bed.

"I have to go back to the city, clear my name," Beast Boy stated. 

"Oh. Well, can you stay with me for a few minutes more?" Tara asked in a somber tone.

He soon noticed the sad look on the blonde girls friend. He knew he had to be a hero but the poor girl looked lonely. He put his mask down and sat down on the bed next to Tara. "Sure, and to be honest it's been a while since I ate."

As Beast Boy sat next to Tara, he then shared the cookies with his blonde friend. After he was done eating he offered her his hand and she put her hand in his.

Tara then gripped his hand and said, "Beast Boy, I've been slowly remembering all the times I was with you and the teen titans. All the memories, the good and the bad. I'm really sorry, for everything." 

Beast Boy then removed his hand from hers and had pulled Tara into an embrace. She hugged him back as he said, "It's okay. I forgive you. You should continue living the life you have. You deserve to be happy. But before I go, I want to know, what's your real name?"

She separated from the embrace and told him, "Tara, Tara Markov. So, will I ever see you again?" 

Beast Boy bowed his head as he held the mask in both of his hands. "I don't know,". Beast Boy then put on his cowl, activated his voice modifier and headed to the window. Tara then handed Neo Batman his PDA but he pushed it back to her. "You keep it, I have a spare. But if you're in trouble, activate this emergency beacon to notify Batman, the original one, he'll be able to help," he concluded.

Tara then opened the window so he could easily get out of the house.

"To be honest, If I do live through this Civil War I hope we can start over as friends," Neo Batman added. 

Tara nodded, "Me too, Beast Boy." They shared one last hug before he activated his wings and flew to Jump city.

Tara then heard the front door open and went downstairs to see it was her mom coming back from her shift at the hospital.

"Hi Mom," Tara started.

"Hey sweetie, where's Neo Batman?"her mother replied.

"Oh, he left."

"I see, well I suppose he had his reason to leave," Tara's mom replied somberly. 

Tara noticed the change of tone in her mom's voice. "Mom, what's wrong?"

"It's not about Neo Batman leaving, it's about my hours at the hospital. There have been cases of people having large grins on their faces, it's like some kind of virus is spreading. I don't know what..."

Just then, they heard a small ball roll into the doorway. The ball then let out a toxic green smoke. Tara and her mom covered their mouths to protect their lungs from the toxic gas. Tara's mom found a mask but used it on her daughter, while she held her breath as much as long as she could. Tara remembered she had a Bat-PDA and activated the emergency beacon. They struggled to get up the stairs to try and get some air.

Then three figures entered the house. One was a duplicate of Starfire, the other was a duplicate of Cyborg. The third figure was Brother Blood. Brother Blood looked around and saw visible footprints from his eye scanner and proceeded to head up the stairs. In the guestroom, Tara hid the bat PDA under the bed, while her mom was in the master bedroom, with a vase over her head. As the Cyborg duplicate entered the room, Tara's mom attacked the clone using the vase. But the clone just rubbed it off, and tossed her to the floor. 

"Wait," Brother Blood told his minion to stand down. Tara was already knocked out by the Starfire duplicate and was being carried on it's shoulder. 

"Joker, we have the girl, but we should do about her mother?" Brother asked through his wrist communicator

"Bah, she's not that important, although she could be useful to send the titans and Batman a message. Time to test out my new toxin. You have the gun?" Joker asked.

"Yes I do." Brother Blood replied

"Excellent. You may fire it when ready."

The Cyborg clone had Tara's mom pinned down on a chair while Brother Blood pulled out the gun with toxic darts. "Give our condolences, to Neo Batman," Brother Blood smirked as he raised the gun. He pulled the trigger and a toxic dart hit the defenseless women. After a few seconds, Tara's mom began to laugh uncontrollably as the toxin quickly took effect. Brother Blood and his clones took Tara away unknown that the Bat-PDA sent out a distress signal.

Back in the present time, the titans and Batman were leaving the house, bitterly disappointed and frustrated. It was bad enough that Brother Blood and his robot clones were causing trouble, but now the Joker was also in town. Batman then asked Robin to borrow his communicator, to check up on Raven. "Raven, are you there? are you alright?" Static on the other end. "Raven! come in!!" Still static.
"Raven, where are you?!" Batman gave up and handed Robin his communicator back. "We've got our hands full. First Brother Blood then the Joker and now Raven's gone missing!" Batman grunted as he slammed his fist into a tree. 

Starfire then went to try and comfort the dark knight. "We will stop them, we will be victorious." 

"I know we will. But what does The joker want? What is he planning?" Robin wondered.

In Jump city, Raven was flying around the city looking for Neo Batman, both the original and the duplicate. She purposely deactivated her communicator to avoid being tracked by Batman. As Raven was flying, she noticed something odd, two figures in rain coats were headed into an alley carrying an unconscious girl. As she flew down to investigate, she had to find a hiding spot to remain hidden. Raven noticed the girl who was being put into the truck resembled Terra. "This week just keeps getting worse," Raven thought to herself. Then Brother Blood emerged from the other side of the ally and the two figures took off their Raincoats to reveal themselves as duplicates of Cyborg and Starfire. 

Raven then jumped out to confront brother blood and the duplicates were also ready to attack. But Brother Blood told them to stand down. "I'm not in the mood to fight Raven," Brother Blood started. "But perhaps we can work out a deal. You see my partner is interested in the destruction of Neo Batman. And he wants you to bring him something that can be used to take him down." 
Raven noticed the girl was tied up with tape over her mouth in the truck.

"What if I say no?" Raven started. 

Brother Blood handed Raven a photo of Tara's mom who was joker-fied. Raven had her hand over her mouth when she saw the photo. 

"Then she will end up like her mother, and the real Neo Batman will hunt you down and destroy you for not cooperating with us," Brother Blood warned. Raven wasn't sure what to do, but in order to save the girl, she had to go through with this deal. Otherwise, her friends will end up blaming her for not rescuing the girl. However, she also was still driven by destroying Neo Batman because of his hidden identity as Beast Boy.

Raven sighed, "Okay Brother Blood. I'll bring you that object your client wants, on the condition you release the girl, unharmed."

Brother Blood grinned and said, "Excellent, but you better hurry you have 2 hours. I'll still be here when you return" He soon got into the truck and waited, while Raven flew back to titans tower to pick up 'the object'. She searched the tower and found the disk, containing footage of Neo Batman being unmasked. The titans were still not at the tower which gave Raven some time to fly out back to the city to give the disk to Brother Blood.

"You're early," Brother Blood stated.

"The girl Blood, let her go! I kept up my end of the bargain, now you do the same!!" Raven demanded. 

Brother Blood sighed, "Fine." He snapped his fingers and the Neo Batman clone dragged the hostage and dropped her to her knees in front of Raven. Brother blood and the clone soon got in the truck and drove away. 

Raven then tended to Tara. The poor girl had her face covered with a bag and her arms and legs were wrapped in duct tape. Raven slowly moved the bag off the hostages face and saw she had some bruises on her face and her makeup was all messed up. Raven then used her telekinesis to cut the duct tape with a piece of broken glass from a trash can.

"Are you okay?" Raven asked, but Tara was so disturbed from her captivity that she took out a syringe from her shirt pocket and tried to inject Raven with it. But Raven countered her strike and took the syringe and injected her with it. Soon Tara began to laugh uncontrollably as the syringe was filled with Joker Toxin. Raven's eyes widened in horror realizing her mistake. She tried to help her but she restrained herself when the memories of Terra's betrayal came into her head. So she just stood there as Tara laughed until there was nothing left but a grin on her face as her lifeless body was soon at Raven's feet.

"Good Riddance," Raven said coldly as she put on her hood and flew back to Titans tower. While she was flying, Raven soon felt more guilt build up, as she had made a serious mistake. Elsewhere, The Joker was in his hideout and was in a camera room capturing it all on footage. Brother Blood and his duplicate army arrived at the main hideout.

They were soon behind the Joker as he watched on the cameras. "I think with a few more clips to edit, this could be a sneak preview to the main event! They'll see. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
